This summer is being dedicated to the house. We’ve been here for over three years now and I’m really tired of unfinished rooms. I want to have a home that I’m proud of and can invite friends over without feeling the need to apologize for the state of it. We’ve been working on our entryway for a little while now and my ultimate goal is to make it welcoming without being too formal. You know how we love our splashes of fun in this house! I figure there’s no better way to tell people that they’re welcome than to have that be the first thing they see when the door is opened. I painted this welcome sign from Impressions Shop and am crazy happy with how it turned out. My White and Gold Welcome Sign is the perfect way to invite guests in.
- welcome sign
- chalky finish paint in Everlasting
- gold glitter
- decou-page in Crystal Glitter
- elegant finish in Emperor’s Gold
My welcome sign arrived very well packed and I was really happy with the quality of the sign itself.
I painted two coats of the chalky finish onto the front of the sign.
To put the glitter on, I painted the front with my decou-page and sprinkled the glitter on while it was still wet. After it was dry, I put a top coat of decou-page on.
I finished the sign off by painting the edges gold. I do love my gold edges!
I am so happy with how my White and Gold Welcome Sign turned out. It was so easy to create the look I wanted with the quality of the sign itself. In fact, I’m currently plotting ideas for more Impressions Shop signs around the house!
Speaking of more signs, Impressions Shop is being super gracious and they’re giving away a sign of your choice! Pretty cool, right?! Just enter the rafflecopter below! Good luck!!
