Quick and Easy Scrapbook Photo Frame

By now, you've probably caught on to the fact that I'm a craft supply hoarder. It's bad. Scott trips over my mess constantly. I've taken over pretty much the entire house with different crafts in different areas. I promised him that I would use up as much as I could this year instead of buying more. I wouldn't make that kind of promise to just anyone! I'm linking up with Craft Lightning for another craft that can be made in 15 minutes or less. My quick and easy scrapbook photo frame is a ... Lessons from SNAP!

I've been starting and stopping this post for days now. I'll write a couple of lines, have a thought, pull out my notebook (yes, I'm a pen and paper kind of gal!), and scribble down the three new ideas I have. I have sketches, post outlines, brands, proposals, and other bloggers all jumbled together in one giant notebook of inspiration. It all started with SNAP. I've spent the days since SNAP trying to get my thoughts together and wondering what on earth just hit me. I went into it ... Read More

Purple Unicorn Cross Stitch

I just came back from SNAP! and wanted to share with you one of the small projects I made for it. There was a secret sister exchange this year and I LOVE exchanges. I was over the moon when I got Stephanie's name and immediately started work on this unicorn cross stitch. It's hard to tell because of the lighting (I'm sorry I didn't think to snap a picture under better conditions and with my real camera!), but the unicorn is stitched on silver sparkle aida. I painted the hoop white, ... Read More

Severus Snape Cross Stitch

Ages and ages ago, I bought a Harry Potter cross stitch pattern book in Paris. I didn't realize how special it was until I went to a shop for floss and the clerk tried to buy it from me. It has become one of my favorite books, even though it's just patterns, and I often use it to stitch up gifts for my Harry Potter loving friends. Fun fact: I've never made anything for myself from it (yet!). I stitched up this Severus Snape for my friend Melissa, who loves Harry Potter as much as I ... Read More

Easy Teacher Appreciation Craft

This is the first year I've had a child in real school. Madeline is in kindergarten, and while I've read about other moms and the pressure they feel to come up with awesome teacher appreciation crafts, I didn't believe it until I recently heard a group talking about what they're doing for their kids' teachers at the end of the year. This wasn't a thing when I was a kid. A quick search will bring up hundreds of awesome ideas for teacher appreciation crafts, but I wanted something that was super ... Read More
