LEMON BASIL  SUGAR COOKIES

- They're a quick & simple dessert!  - It's a great way to use up your fresh basil leaves  - They're soft, chewy and require no chill time! 

INGREDIENTS

Flour Sugar Egg Baking powder Salted butter Lemon extract Lemon zest Fresh basil leaves

INSTRUCTIONS

Cream the melted butter and sugar together. Add the egg and whisk to combine.

INSTRUCTIONS

Add the lemon extract and lemon zest and mix once more to combine.

INSTRUCTIONS

Mix in the flour, baking powder and finely chopped basil just until a dough as formed.

INSTRUCTIONS

Form 1 inch cookie dough balls with your hands then roll each ball in sugar.

INSTRUCTIONS

Place twelve on a parchment lined baking sheet. Push down in the middle of each ball a little with your thumb. Bake at 375F for 9-10 minutes.
