Best Fairs in All 50 States
I love fairs. From the super local to epic state fairs, they’re all amazing. Fried veggies and funnel cake, massive fresh lemonades, and all sorts of local specialties have me drooling. Fun midway rides and carnival games are entertaining for everyone. I love the local vendors selling their crafts and tasty treats. Seeing the displays of ribbon winners leaves me in awe of their skill. Animal, tractor, and anything else you can think of competitions are a blast, even if you aren’t super into them otherwise. There’s often live music, too. I. Love. Fairs. This printable list of the best fairs in all 50 states makes me so happy and I intend to do as many of them as possible.
People who are fair-goers, like me, have their favorites, often for sentimental reasons. I grew up with the Fayette and Westmoreland County Fairs in Pennsylvania. The fairgrounds were nearby, so it was common to go many times with friends. We don’t live super near a fairgrounds here, but the Cabarrus Country fair isn’t too far away and was a lot of fun last year. We may even make the trek to Raleigh for the North Carolina State Fair this year. I went to a yarn show on the fairgrounds and they are extensive.
