Plaid Bow Candy Cane Wreath
Crafting with garland is a lot of fun and I’m always looking for new ways to use it. You know my love of wrapping anything and everything–this time we’re doing a garland wrapped plaid bow candy cane wreath. It’s an easy craft (even if I’m a bit worried that I haven’t explained it very well). I love the green garland and the plaid bow together!

Supplies:
- candy cane wreath form- I got mine from Dollar Tree, this is similar
- 1-2 packages of green garland depending on length–mine came from Dollar Tree, this is similar
- red berry florals- I had some on hand but most craft stores have them in the holiday section
- plaid bow–mine came from Michaels, this is similar
- scissors
- hot glue gun
Instructions:
Cut the ribbon ends off of the bow. You will use this ribbon to weave in between the garland.
The garland I used had wire in it, so it secured itself in place when I wrapped it. If yours doesn’t, you can use some hot glue at the start and finish of the garland.
Wrap the garland three times around the wreath form. Tuck the start of one piece of ribbon underneath the wrapped garland. You may want to hot glue this. Fold the ribbon back or hold it up so that the next bit of garland is wrapped without the ribbon. Wrap the garland around the wreath form four times, then place the ribbon back onto the wreath form for two wrappings. Repeat this process until you have finished the ribbon. Hopefully the pictures help make it less confusing than my explanation!
Start on the bottom section of the wreath with the same process, working your way towards the middle. I had enough to pretty much cover the entire wreath form but the bow will cover whatever is left.
Secure the bow in place with the twist tie. Use some glue on the berry stems and place under the bow.
This plaid bow candy cane wreath has a classic look and you can see how easily it can be adapted to suit your style. The garland is just fun–you can’t go wrong!
