Easy Merry Grinchmas Yarn Wreath

I often look at the seasonal wooden signs that can be found in craft stores and like them, but don’t want to hang them up as-is. A super easy way to show them off is to attach them to a wreath, and of course my wreath of choice is almost always some sort of yarn wreath. This easy Merry Grinchmas yarn wreath uses fun loopy yarn and a simple wooden sign for a great piece of holiday decor.

Instructions:

Start by tying the end of the yarn around the outer ring of the wreath form. I did a double knot to make sure it was secure.

Wrap the yarn around the entire wreath form–you know the drill! I wrapped it fairly tightly to make sure that the wreath was full and I still had a good amount of yarn left over for another project. At the end trim the rest off with the scissors.

Decide where you want the wooden sign to go. I decided on a mostly center placement. Depending on your sign, it can go almost anywhere.

Add hot glue to the backside of the wooden sign where it will touch the yarn. Press the sign firmly in place.

And that’s it, my friends! This easy Merry Grinchmas yarn wreath really couldn’t get any easier. You can use this idea for any combination of yarns and signs–it’s a super easy and inexpensive way to decorate for almost anything.

As with all of my yarn wreaths, I recommend that this one stay indoors. It’s a great wreath for a kid’s bedroom door or in a hallway that needs some festive spirit.
