Rainbow Sequin Suncatcher

I’ve been feeling the need for sunshine and rainbows in my office window, so when I saw these gorgeous rainbow sequins in my BGM Box, I knew just what I was going to do. I had some ornament molds from Christmas crafting and thought they’d make great blanks for suncatchers. I love the sparkly result–this rainbow sequin suncatcher craft is the perfect bit of sunshine in my office window.

Directions:

Pour a thin layer of resin into the ornament mold, making sure it is completely covered. Cure it under the light.

Place the sequins in the design you want. Some people like to use tweezers for this kind of thing–I’m better at using my fingers. Do it however you’re most comfortable! I made some different designs and am positive I’ll make a bunch more–I have plenty of sequins left!

Carefully pour a top layer of resin onto the sequins. They will probably move slightly (at least mine did!). Use a poking tool of some sort to put any errant sequins back in place. You can also see that I spilled my sequins at some point so they’re all jumbled–don’t be a klutz like me!

Cure the ornament. I put it through two cycles and then flipped it for another cycle because I always overdo it–one sticky project and I always err on the safe side.

Hang your rainbow sequin suncatcher ornament in a window that gets a lot of light and enjoy!
