Light Up Halloween Tinsel Wreath
I love a good tinsel wreath but I mostly see them for Christmas. There’s no reason not to make them for Halloween, too! This light up Halloween tinsel wreath is a fairly easy make and I’m so happy with how it turned out. Halloween ornaments on top of sparkly tinsel, topped off with a perfect bow–what’s not to love?!

Supplies:
- 14″ wire wreath form
- silver tinsel garland (You don’t want a super fluffy garland. Mine came from IKEA’s Christmas section last year–this is similar)
- Halloween ornaments (black and multi)
- black and white bow
- fairy lights
- yarn needle
Note: My garland was 6.5 yards per pack and I used two per wreath (I made two wreaths).
Instructions:
Wrap the garland around the wreath form. I tucked the ends under itself so that I didn’t need to glue or tie anything.
Pull out the ornaments.
The ornaments I used came with strings. I put the string through the top of the ornament, inserted both ends of the string through the needle, and then poked the needle through the wreath where I wanted the ornament to go.
Carefully tie the string around a piece of the metal wreath form or garland. You may want to double knot it–just make sure the ornament is secure. **If this turns out to be too much of a pain, you can glue the ornaments on.**
When you have all of the ornaments you want, get the string of lights ready.
Because this string of lights is wired, it’s easy two twist it around the ornaments. I started with the non-batter end and wound it around until only the battery was left. Poke the battery through to the back–it should hide nicely.
Finish off the wreath by attaching the bow to the top. If you use the same bow I did, it comes with a twist tie attached, which makes it super easy to put on.
This Halloween tinsel wreath is a great little project when you want a bit of fun but don’t want to go all out. It can be easily adapted with a bigger wreath size or different colors. At any rate, I’m super tickled with how these turned out!
