Halloween Pom Pom and Button Flowerpot

As much as I love all things Halloween, I always go back to that classic orange and black. I don’t know why that’s Halloween to me, but it is. This fun Halloween pom pom and button flowerpot takes those classic Halloween colors and turns them into a cute little decoration. It’s great as a desk “plant” or as part of a bigger display.

Supplies:

Directions:

Paint the pot black.

When the pot is dry, glue on the buttons, leaving the rim of the pot bare.

When the buttons are dry, put the floral foam into the pot. You may need to cut some off so it fits–it doesn’t need to be perfect.

Place some moss in any gaps and over the top of the foam so that it can’t be seen.

Make a handful of pom poms in both sizes and colors.

Take each pom pom and tie it around a piece of floral wire. Twist the wire so that the pom pom is tight. Trim any excess lengths of yarn. Gently stick the wire into the foam. Continue making these with different lengths of wire until you have the look you want.

This Halloween pom pom and button flowerpot was such a fun project to make. I love the bright pops of orange against the black and the fluffy pom poms with the perfect buttons. It didn’t take long to make because the paint dried quickly and I made the pom poms while the buttons were drying. If you’re after cute this Halloween season, this project is it!
