Candy Corn Beaded Halloween Shirt

I recently saw the first bags of candy corn on display at the grocery store this year and got really excited for candy corn season. If you’ve been around here for a while, you know my unashamed love for the classic candy. I’m thrilled to share this candy corn beaded Halloween shirt with you–it’s perfect for lovers of the best candy on earth.

Supplies:

I got my beads from Chevron Trading Post and Bead Co. on my last visit to Asheville. Craft supplies are my favorite travel souvenir and this shop was amazing. These beads weren’t labeled with a size but measure ten beads per inch.

Instructions:

To make this shirt, you’re going to sew the beads in three rows along the collar line. I found it easiest to start on one side where the collar and shoulder stitching meet. Pull your thread up from the inside of the shirt. I left a loose tail (be careful not to pull it through) but you can tie a knot if you prefer.

String a white bead onto it. Securely stitch the bead onto the shirt.

Continue stitching each bead individually until you get the the ‘v’ in the neckline. I then pulled the thread back through the beads until I got to the beginning to further secure and straighten them. If you do this, tie the thread to the loose tail you left in the beginning. Repeat the process for the other side.

Repeat the entire process for the orange beads, followed by the yellow.

I won’t lie–this candy corn beaded Halloween shirt isn’t quick to make. You’re going to be stitching beads for a while! I think the end result is absolutely worth it, though. This shirt is super easy to stitch on and the bright candy corn colors look great against the black. This is definitely going to be a go-to shirt for me this Halloween season! I have a massive thank you to ShirtSpace for this collaboration!
