Easy Loopy Yarn Fall Wreath

Even when I attempt to behave with craft supplies, I still find myself being drawn to things with no particular project in mind. I went into JoAnn’s for one specific thing but found myself wandering the yarn aisles, as I do. I’ve been big into loopy yarn lately and when I saw this orange and that it was on sale, it wasn’t a question that it was going to come home with me. This easy loopy yarn fall wreath is a simple project and a fun piece of autumn decor.

Supplies:

  • 14 inch wire wreath form (I got mine from Dollar Tree)
  • Bernat Alize loop yarn in orange (I get mine from Joann’s as they usually have it on sale)
  • floral stems (Mine were from Dollar Tree–I got a bunch of the off white/ ivory mums and a bunch of the off white silver dollars)
  • scissors
  • hot glue gun
  • wire cutters

Instructions:

Take the end of the yarn and tie it into a knot on the outer ring of the wire wreath form.

Wrap the yarn the entire way around the wire wreath form. I wrapped mine as tightly as I could and made sure the yarn pieces were right next to each other to give it a fuller look.

Once the yarn is all the way around, tie off the end.

Use a wire cutter to cut some length off the stems. If you don’t have wire cutters, try bending the stems back and forth until they break. You want to keep enough stem that it can poke into the wreath.

Add a line of hot glue to the stem of the floral and then weave it in between the yarn strands.

I started with the silver dollars and then added in the mums.

Super easy, right?! I think I’m addicted to loopy yarn wreaths. This easy loopy yarn fall wreath could be easily switched up with different colors and flowers. The whole thing didn’t cost me more than $10, too, and that’s always a bonus!
