Raven’s Nest Halloween Wreath

I’ve been enjoying darker crafts this Halloween season. When I saw this gorgeous raven, I knew I needed to make something with it. I made a zombie raven wreath years ago and thought it was about time that I tried a different version. This raven’s nest Halloween wreath only takes a few minutes to make and has that perfectly spooky aesthetic that I’m into right now.

This is such an easy wreath to make. Take the twig and heather garland and let it curve naturally around the wreath form. I didn’t have to manipulate it very much. With small pieces of floral wire, secure the garland to the wreath form. Do this at the start of the garland and wherever it feels like it needs securing as you go around until you get to the end.

This is where it gets messy–really messy. I loved the look of the black moss garland in the store but didn’t realize how much glitter was going to shed from it. I think the end result is worth it, but be prepared for some annoying cleanup. Attach this garland in the same way, but only put it on the lower half of the wreath. I used the wire cutters to snip it into smaller pieces so that I wasn’t looping it back and forth and could get more coverage.

Attach both feet of the raven to the wreath with the floral wire.

Easy, right?? I love the spooky vibes of my raven’s nest Halloween wreath. The black moss garland looks like a nest, the dark green leaves add atmosphere (is that a thing for wreaths?), the glitter everywhere adds sparkle, and you just can’t go wrong with a raven centerpiece.
