T-Rex Embroidery Hoop Set
I’m madly in love with the Jurassic Park franchise–it’s one of the few where I like the movies better than the books. It’s fun, too, that the girls are getting into dinosaurs (they haven’t seen the movies yet), and I thought this easy T-Rex Embroidery Hoop Set was a neat way to combine our family’s dinosaur love without making it scary. I am so tickled by the floral fabric and the skull together!
Supplies:
- T-Rex skull pattern
- T-Rex footprint pattern
- hoops (I used an 8″ for the skull and 5″ for the footprint)
- black thread (DMC 310)
- washable fabric pen
- fun floral fabric (this is the best part!)
Download and print out the t-rex skull and footprint patterns. I put the skull at 100% for my 8″ hoop and the footprint at 30% for my 5″ hoop. To transfer it, I used a bright light behind the fabric with the pattern underneath and traced it with my washable fabric pen. From there, it’s just a matter of stitching!
To finish off the hoops, soak your fabric in cold water to get rid of the pen markings. Once it’s dry, pop it back into the hoop and finish off the back however you like. This T-Rex Embroidery Hoop Set is a fun way to show off your love of dinosaurs and all things Jurassic Park. In fact, Pippi immediately requested that they be hung in her room, so I’m going to need to stitch up another set for myself!
