Woodland Drink Charms DIY
It’s time for another round of the Cricut Design Space Challenge! This month, Team Ten is bringing you a Woodland Celebration! You can’t have a celebration without drinks, and there’s nothing worse than losing yours in the middle of a big party. My woodland drink charms make it easy to know immediately which drink is yours!
These are super easy to make with the Cricut Explore. I started by choosing from the plethora of woodland themed designs in Design Space.
Cutting the balsa wood was a piece of cake.
All the designs popped off easily. I poked out the circles I had cut and inserted hoop earrings.
Not only is this project easy, it’s really inexpensive, too. Drink charms are usually pretty pricey and you might get six. With these woodland charms, you can cut out as many as you want, and then start painting them different colors for repeats. The possibilities are endless! I can imagine these as a fun memento for a wedding.
Check out my Woodland Straws, too!
Make sure you go through and check out all the awesomeness from Team Ten!!

Please can you share the thickness of your balsa wood?
The balsa I used for this is 1/32″. 🙂
Hi! These look great and the idea of glass tags is just what I needed. Do you mind sharing the settings you used to cut the balsa wood? The cut seems quite clean. I tried using a custom setting (almost nighest pressure and two cuts) and I got some rips in areas with details.
Hi! I used the Wood, Birch: 0.5mm setting. Detail areas can be tough. I took out the blade and cleaned off any little bits between each use, and found that that helped.
Did you use the deep cut or standard blade? I’ve to cut different thicknesses of wood and can’t get it to cut all the way through.
I used the deep cut blade with this. The balsa wasn’t that thick, but it also went over each shape three times. I hope that helps!
