Sequin Decorated Pumpkin

Decorating pumpkins and decorating *with* pumpkins are two of my absolute favorite things. I stock up on crafting pumpkins every year when they’re on sale. There are a good number of pumpkins in my house that stay out year round. Pumpkins are just my favorite. This sequin decorated pumpkin is my latest year round pumpkin–I just love those sparkly sequins when the light catches them!

Instructions:

Paint the pumpkin stem in Raw Sienna.

Put some Antique Gold, Glorious Gold, and Spiced Pumpkin paint next to each other on your paper plate, making sure they don’t mix.

Dip the edge of your foam brush into the paint, getting some of all the colors.

Using long strokes from top to bottom, paint the pumpkin. Try not to let any one color overtake the others. Layer as needed to make sure there is full coverage without it being one solid color.

When the paint is dry, get out the glue and Sequinz.

Use the glue to make a dripping design, starting from the base of the stem. Do this a section at a time so that the glue doesn’t dry before the Sequinz are placed.

Either place or sprinkle the Sequinz onto the glue (I did a combination of both).

When the glue dries, you’ll have a lovely sequin decorated pumpkin! I’m still trying to get a picture that really does this pumpkin justice. I’m so pleased with how it turned out!
