Spring Button Bouquets

I’ve often found spring the most difficult season to craft for–I don’t know why. When I got the latest BGM Box, though, it was so full of pretty inspiration that I immediately felt the spring crafting urge. I enjoyed making these sweet spring button bouquets. With pastel felt and pretty spring buttons, they had me ready for some spring color.

Directions:

Cut out the felt in different sized circles. Mine were 1″ and 1.5″. Essentially you want to be able to put together different flowers with the buttons as the center, so cut sizes that work for you.

These flowers are mix and match, so you’re free to make them how you want. I mostly stitched a button or two onto a smaller piece of felt, then stitched that onto a bigger piece. I finished it by stitching a second big piece onto that. If you prefer to glue instead of stitch, you can absolutely do that.

For added fun, take shaped buttons, like the watering cans, ladybugs, and flower buttons and either glue a piece of floral wire onto the back or twist it through the loop.

To finish the flowers, just place a piece of wire between stitches into the the center of the flower.

Cut the wire at various lengths and create your bouquet.

I’m still a fan of tiered trays, so my spring button bouquets are now part of my spring display.
