Christmas Sangria

Sangria is a the drink of parties, so it’s only right that there’s a Christmas version. This festive Christmas sangria is easily adapted to larger serving sizes and has the necessary sparkling wine and cranberries to make it Christmas in a drink. If you want to wow your guests, a punchbowl of this amazing drink is a necessity at your next holiday gathering.

  • Chill Time: 1 1⁄2 hours
  • Total Time: 1 hour and 40 minutes

Ingredients:

Liquor:

  • 1⁄2 cup vodka
  • 1 bottle sparkling white wine

Fruits:

  • 1⁄2 cup cranberries
  • 1⁄4 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 1 apple, diced and cored skin on
  • 1-2 limes, sliced
  • 1-2 oranges, sliced

Juice:

  • 1⁄2 cup cranberry juice
  • 1⁄4 cup apple cider

Instructions:

  • In a large pitcher or bowl, add all of the diced apples, sliced limes and oranges, cranberries and pomegranate seeds. I’m a fan of overloading on fruit, so you’ll probably want to customize it to your liking.

  • Stir to mix.
  • Add the liquors and juices to the pitcher or bowl.

  • Stir to combine.
  • Chill in the fridge for 1 1⁄2 hours so that everything gets nice and happy with each other.
  • Serve. I’m a fan of serving sangria from a punchbowl because I just think it’s extra festive for this. This Christmas sangria is such a pretty drink with all of the fruits that the punchbowl just works well. Plus party drinks are always fun in punchbowls! You can have smaller bowls of fruit wedges and rosemary for people to add to their drinks.
