Easy Smashbook Page with DIY Decor Tape

I’ve been enjoying trying my hand at scrapbooking and journaling lately. I’m not great at it yet, but I’m loving putting pages together and trying new techniques. Sometimes, though, my favorite pages turn out to be the easiest ones to make. I recently started the family smashbook for the 2014-2015 school year and created an Easy Smashbook Page with DIY Decor Tape.

I started by going through my photos for a good first day of school picture. My favorite picture was in my Instagram account, so I printed it out.

Hashtags are an integral part of Instagram, so Hazel & Ruby’s DIY Decor Tape in Hashtag was the perfect choice for an Instagram picture. I trimmed down my photo and got out my tape.

The DIY Decor Tape has a lot of great hashtags and is great whole, but I wanted smaller pieces. I opened it up, found the hashtags I wanted to use, and cut them out.

This tape is great because if you mess up when you place it, you can easily pick it up and start again without ripping anything. Not that I mess up a lot! 😉
