Felt Holly Berry Hair Clip

I love dressing up for the holidays. I love the easy excuse to be festive in what I’m wearing. Even with a simple dress, it’s so fun to add Christmas-y accessories, like fun tights and a holiday hair clip. I recently had an event that was perfect for adding a bit of Christmas fun to my outfit, but I didn’t have anything ready to go. I whipped up a super quick Felt Holly Berry Hair Clip that became the perfect topping to my holiday outfit.

Supplies:

  • Sizzix Big Shot Plus
  • Holly Berries Die
  • red and green felt
  • red and green thread
  • hair clip
  • needle
  • red buttons

Cut out your holly and berry felt pieces.

You want to end up with two pieces of each size leaf and berry.

Stitch the leaves together. I used a loose blanket stitch.

Stitch a red button onto each red felt berry. Stitch the berries onto the leaves.

Attach the hair clip in a couple of places to the back of the leaves.

This Felt Holly Berry Hair Clip is so super simple to make, but it’s a lot of fun for the holidays. I love that I can wear it with my short hair. It’s the perfect accessory to my holiday style!

I recently wore it as part of a festive outfit and I can’t get enough of the entire ensemble. The Knit Factor Sweater Dress has become a go-to for events very quickly. It’s comfortable and I find it flattering on me. I have a thing for fun tights and am especially into plaid right now, so when I found these  Amazing Assistant Tights in Red, I had to have them! The red is currently sold out, but they’re still available in green!
