Wooden Heart Valentine’s Day Card Holder
I always loved Valentine’s Day cards as a kid. It was so much fun to see what everyone picked out and I loved the collection I ended up with. My stash of cards always ended up in a box, though, so I thought it would be fun to make something for the girls to display their cards. This Wooden Heart Valentine’s Day Card Holder is so easy to make and can be used after the holiday is over!
Supplies:
- rustic heart
- Max Gloss in Candy Apple
- Metallic Lustre in Champagne Ice
- paint brush
- baker’s twine
- glue
- miniature clips
Paint the heart in the Maxx Gloss. I used two coats.
When the paint is dry, edge the heart with the metallic lustre. I just used my fingers.
Get your baker’s twine and wrap it across the front where you want it. Cut each piece and glue it to the back.
Get your clips ready to hold some Valentine’s Day cards!
This Wooden Heart Valentine’s Day Card Holder is as simple as it gets and will display your cards in a fun way. And when you’re ready to move on from the holiday, you can put pictures on it instead!

This is such a fun project! Thank you for sharing as part of the blog hop.
What type of glue should we use for the twine to adhere to the wood?
Hi! Any craft glue should work (as long as you aren’t hanging too much weight on the front!). If I remember correctly, I used Mod Podge, but I’d probably use something in a squeeze bottle if I made it again. I hope that helps!
