Washi Tape Flowerpot
I will have three girls in elementary school this year and they will all be in Girl Scouts. I’m still learning my way around Girl Scouts, but it’s been fun to see the possibilities that are out there. This month’s Craft Lightning theme is scout projects, and since I’m on the girl side of it, I went with what I know. If you haven’t been around Craft Lightning before, every other month bloggers are presented with a theme and challenged to come up with a craft that takes fifteen minutes or less, minus drying time. This Washi Tape Flowerpot fits the bill perfectly.
This craft is super easy and is fairly inexpensive for a troop to make together. It requires:
- terra cotta pots (this one is tiny!)
- assorted washi tape
- outdoor decoupage
- brush
- potting soil/dirt
- flower seeds
The girls each get a flowerpot. Let them decorate it in the washi tape however they want. Super easy!
When the pots are decorated, paint over them in the outdoor decoupage.
When the pots are dry, add in the dirt and seeds. There you go! Super easy and the Washi Tape Flowerpot is a great craft to go along with earning their gardening badge.
