Give Thanks Banner

I love decorating for Thanksgiving. It feels like fall’s last hurrah, so all of the pumpkins and leaves and fall colors explode around the house. I never really thought about Thanksgiving much other than a big meal day until I lived in another country. Of course they didn’t celebrate it, but even though I didn’t have sentimental memories of the holiday, I missed it. Now I make a point to celebrate it with my family and to give thanks for what we have. I made this quick and easy Give Thanks Banner with my new Cricut Explore Air 2 and couldn’t believe how fast it was to make!
I used:
- Cricut Explore Air 2
- Glitter Iron On in Black Gold and Gold
- fun trim (try JoAnn’s or Etsy!)
- glue (or needle and thread)
- iron
- canvas banner

Setting up and using the Cricut Explore Air 2 was just like using the original, except it was shinier and faster! I could not get over how fast it cut!
I measured my banner and created my design in Design Space using the Elegant Cake font and Leaf Border #M39EA6.
It was so fun to watch the machine cut! To see a bit of a video, check out my Instagram.
I really can’t get over how fast the pieces were cut. I then just ironed them onto my canvas banner.
I glued on my trim. Of course you can stitch it on if you prefer! I got this trim from a vintage Easy shop years ago.
You will be seeing so many more projects made with my Cricut Explore Air 2. I am envisioning a full on Thanksgiving and Christmas crafting spree! It was so incredibly easy to make this Give Thanks Banner and it is a great addition to our fall and Thanksgiving decor.
Love this! I can’t stop staring at the new Cricut Air 2. It’s beyond amazing. We need to do some Christmas crafts together!
