Easy Pan Storage

February 16, 2015 by Albion

We have a decent sized kitchen, but we have struggled with our pots and pans since we moved in. We’ve put some in cabinets, but it was always clunky and a mess. We don’t have the type of kitchen that works with hanging them from a wall or ceiling. It took us a while to hit on the solution that worked for us, but we finally figured out easy pan storage that worked for us.

Easy Pan Storage

Our pantry has a good bit of space between the door and the shelves. We’re constantly opening the pantry, and it’s just a couple of steps from the stove, so it made sense to hang them on the inside of the door. Scott found the perfect hooks and easily installed them. We wanted a hook that let it go through the handle easily so that we weren’t fighting with putting the pan on or taking it off. The whole point of this was to make things easy. (The many holes on the door are from previous owners.)

We hung the heaviest pans closest to the hinge of the door to lessen the strain on the hinge. This was a really quick project, but has made a world of difference in our kitchen.
